Platform

Accord Recipe allows for the configuration of one or more Recipes for a Program.  Each Recipe can contain a unique set of Setpoint values, Step Times and a custom Step Order.

Each Program Recipe has five distinct configurable attributes.  These are as follows:

  1. Setpoints
  2. Step Times
  3. Steps
  4. Transitions
  5. Decisions

By default, all newly created recipes will assume the same configuration as the Default recipe, until modified by the user.  It is important to note that during a project download, some settings for custom recipes may be changed due to changes in the original definition in Accord Builder.  For example, a parameter outside the current acceptable Max/Min range will be changed to match the new parameter value.

Configuration of the Recipe

Steps – Step Order

The ability to define a different Step Order for each Recipe is is a unique feature of Accord.

Each Program possess a recipe step order, as configured using Accord Builder.  This step order defines the behaviour of the program when executed under normal circumstances.  Using the Steps section, the pre-configured order for the various Steps can be modified for each recipe, including the Default recipe.  While there is no limit on the order of the steps, there are two restrictions when configuring a step:

  1. The Start-up Step must always be the first step in the step order.  For this reason, it cannot be modified for any recipe.
  2. The length of the Step Order must not exceed the space assigned to that project.

For ease of comparison, the order assigned for each Recipe is laid out side-by-side, adjacent the position in the step order.

When defining a custom recipe, it is important to ensure that Alternate Step-On items will cause transition to a required Step.  Using the transitions section, it is possible to view all Steps that possess an Alternate Step-On transition for the selected Program along with the preferred target, as configured in Accord Builder.  The transitions section also enables the configuration of the target step for each recipe, based on the step order configured for that recipe.  This is important, as the preferred target step may not exist in the new recipe step order, or the step may appear multiple times.  By default, upon import or initial creation, the Recipe Management tool defaults to the first instance of the preferred step.
